Vienna, Austria
Each November Vienna is the venue for a whole weekend of popular competitions for all age-groups staged by the Austrian DanceSport Federation, culminating this year in the 2005 IDSF World Ten Dance Championships. A capacity crowd of 3000 enthusiastic spectators in the Wiener Stadthalle followed what is regarded by many as DanceSport's ultimate test. Performed over 10 dances – 5 in each style (Latin and Standard) – the event makes huge demands on the participants' concentration and stamina. Fitness and good preparation are absolutely essential. Program includes short interviews/introductions of the main favourites, a feature on the defending Champions Misa Cigoj/Anastasija Novozilova (Slovenia) in Vienna, and action from final of the Championship.
