Johnny Cash Live at Montreux 1994
Series Info & Airtimes

Johnny Cash's deep, resonant barritone made his, the most widely recognized voice in country music. When he died in 2003, he left behind more than 1500 songs recorded over almost five decades. The Hollywood biopic of his life, Walk the Line, has revived interest in "the man in black" as an American musical icon. "Johnny Cash Live at Montreux 1994" features the country music legend and his spare, percussive guitar playing 17 of his famous songs. Cash's beloved wife and longtime musical partner June Carter Cash, joins him for their enduring hit "Jackson." Their son, John, also makes an appearance on "Will the Circle Be Unbroken." This classic concert showcases Cash's distinctive sound - a mix of the emotional honesty of folk, the rebelliousness of rock & roll and the world weariness of country.
