In December 2004, London's famous Abbey Road Studios hosted a stellar line-up of legendary guitar gods for a very special tribute concert in honor of Elvis Presley, with musical direction from his long-time guitarist, first manager and life-long friend, Scotty Moore. A TRIBUTE TO THE KING OF ROCK 'N' ROLL is an ideal program to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Elvis Presley's death (August 16, 1977). Scotty Moore is a genuine rock pioneer and musical role model, respected and admired by professional and amateur guitarists alike. For the tribute festivities, he is joined by a roster of international guitar heroes including Eric Clapton, Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits), Martin Taylor, Albert Lee and Ronnie Wood (The Rolling Stones). Other participants include Steve Gibbons, Mike Sanchez and Paul Ansell, as well as the Gundy Prichard Band. Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings is the house band for many of the performances. Brief comments from the stars bracket the live performances.
