TV Program: Algebra: In Simplest Terms: Polynomial Functions

There are many types of polynommial functions. Linear and quadratic equations are both polynomials. But there are higher-power equations as well. By using the curves of these equations, we can see trends as to where the curve is going. For example, in studying the spread of aids, it turns out the the equations that it is following is a polynomial, which does not increase as quickly as the exponential equation that was originally thought to be the solution. Polynomials are also applied in calculating the growth of deer/wolf populations.
