Functions
In this episode, functions are introduced. A function may be thought of as a machine. Any input introduced to the machine will yield a unique output. The set of possible inputs is known as the range, while the set of possible outputs is known as the domain. Functions can be used in the programming of computer games. They were also used to decipher a Japanese code, which led to a decisive U.S. victory at Midway in World War II. Functions can be expressed by equations.
