Matchwits
Rampart vs. Eads
"Matchwits," produced by Rocky Mountain PBS station KTSC-TV in Pueblo, is a weekly, high school academic quiz program. Produced for 22 years, "Matchwits" is a single elimination tournament involving public and private high schools from KTSC-TV's coverage area of southern and southeastern Colorado.

In the 2005-2006 season over 50 schools participated in the Qualification Tournament via a computer in each school. The top 32 schools qualified to participate in the on-air tournament. Questions in the Qualification Tournament and On-Air Tournament include, but are not limited to, English, history, geography, science and math.

The on-air tournament is made up of five rounds of competition including the championship game. Each school is paired based on their score in the Qualification Tournament. The game is made up of three rounds including toss-up questions allowing individual players to answer for their school and Speed Round questions where each school works as a team to answer as many questions as possible in a short period of time. As the rounds progress, the difficulty of the questions asked increases.

"Matchwits" airs on Sundays on KTSC-TV from the first week in October to the first week in April.
