Jane Horrocks ("Absolutely Fabulous," "Little Voice") plays Ros Pritchard, an efficient supermarket manager leading an ordinary life with her husband and children. Disenchanted with the candidates in the upcoming general election, Ros decides to run for Parliament, promising the public "I will never lie to you. I will never mislead you." Her unique platform – bolstered by her sass and wit – captures the heart of a nation, and the amazing Mrs. Pritchard makes history when she's elected prime minister. Also starring Geraldine James, Stephen Mackintosh and Janet McTeer.

Ros learns about her husband Ian's secret money-laundering past. Will she keep her promise never to lie to her people, or will she choose to keep her job and be quiet?
