The Sea Floor
This episode focused on the largely unexplored realm of the ocean floor. With no light, extremely low temperatures, and thousands of pounds of pressure per square inch, the ocean floor is an environment hostile to man. Still, through remote cameras and submersibles, scientists were gaining valuable insights into geological activity from points on the sea floor where the earth's crust was just two miles deep.
