Logarithmic Functions
This episode is on logarithmic functions. A logarithm asks to what power a number should be raised to get another number. Such functions are used in determining the age of artifacts. By measuring the amount of carbon 14 given off, and plotting it along a logarithmic function, we can determine the age of objects quite accurately. Logarithmic functions have their own product, quotient, and power rules.
