The Language of Algebra
This episode introduces some of the terminology used in algebra. Variables are brought in, and sets of numbers (e.g. rational, irrational) are discussed. Rules that we follow for simplifying equations are introduced. These include the associative, commutative, and distributive properties. Finally, these terms and rules are put together to begin work on actual algebraic equations.
