Again using the "quilt first, assemble second" process, Nancy Zieman and guest Betty Cotton add a new element to The Cotton Theory quilting by showing clever ways to add interest to the center of quilt blocks. Cotton illustrates using applique, outline quilting, quilted embroidery, and bobbin work to quilt the fabric layers. They make a reversible tote incorporating these methods.
