In this special based on the BBC series "Keeping Up Appearances," Onslow, who's been selected to teach a credit course at Open University, has selected "successful relationships" as his subject. The special covers the introductory lecture in which Onslow addresses the underpinnings of healthy human interactions. However, as longtime viewers of the series recognize, most relationships in "Keeping Up Appearances" come up woefully short of success. The humor derives from Onslow's earnest pronouncements about the traits of successful human interactions, only to have nearly every clip from "Keeping Up Appearances," offered in "support" of his observations, totally disprove what he's just said.
