Hairworld: The Pursuit of Excellence
Sunday, Nov. 8 › 6pm
on Rocky Mountain PBS
In Moscow this year, 300 stylists from over 40 countries competed for the coveted gold, silver and bronze medals in timed tests of hairstyling skill - among them the United States Team. Vivid sculptures of hair, from peacock blue to flaming red, adorn stunning models in killer heels as the stylists fight for the judges' attention. The program follows the trainers, competitors and models from Team USA as they embark on months of rigorous training. As the competition draws closer they must fight to overcome dramatic setbacks, until finally their dreams unfold hair by hair on the competition floor.
