What do rodeos, whitewater rafting, burro races, and Native American pow wows have in common? They are all activities that Coloradans religiously partake in! In this special episode of The Spirit of Colorado, we discover the lifestyle of Colorado cowboys: how they think, work and play. Then as we continue to journey through Colorado, we experience the rhythm of dog sledding, the adrenaline rush of whitewater rafting, the unusual sport of burro racing, the innocent thrill of a frog rodeo, and The Boulder Kinetics, a wild race of human powered vehicles through water and mud. Finally, we join a gathering of Native American tribes for the music, dance, and ceremony inherent to the traditional pow wow.
