Chef, author and restaurateur Todd English is among the nation's culinary royalty. In "Food Trip With Todd English: Japan" the master chef again brings his talent and taste for reinventing traditional cooking to public television. In this special, a one-hour "sneak preview" of his upcoming new series Food Trip With Todd English, Todd ventures to the Far East to explore Tokyo's famous sushi delicacies. Todd visits a Tokyo fish market and some the world's finest restaurants to trace the history of this fresh, raw fish and seafood combined with sweet, vinegary rice. Then, Todd continues his journey in Japan to seek out one of the most prized and delicious ingredients in the world: Kobe beef. Later, back at Todd's restaurant kitchen in Boston, viewers witness cooking at its ultimate level as Todd creates a mouth-watering dish.
