I liked this program so much because I haven't heard these songs or seen the artists since they came out in the 50's - I ordered the 6 CD Set tonight and I am very pleased you put this on TV - Than You!!

I loved this program, but I do have a question. I noticed that a few country artists who from time to time would have a song on the pop charts were included on the cds that you offered on the program. One in particular who stood out for his absence, was Jim Reeves. I own over 450 Jim Reeves recordings so I know he covered a wide range of material. I have never seen a single program featuring country or pop music from the 50s and 60s with any footage of Reeves performances. I believe he did appear on shows like american bandstand, steve allen, and I think even lawrence welk. Is there some reason that any mention of his work is almost taboo?

I love these types of programs, but wish the entire specials were available on DVD with vintage footage, or at the very least modern footage. What a treat it would be to see the performances in their entireties with no commercial or pledge break interruptions.

David, while I'm not certain of this, there could well be copyright issues which prevented Jim Reeves' music from being included.
