Desserts are the perfect punctuation to any meal. In this episode, Ming offers up some delightful ways to satisfy even the most discerning sweet tooth, with a compilation of some of his favorite after-dinner recipes. Starting with his Lychee-Cranberry Salsa, Ming combines two fruits that you don't normally see on the same continent, never mind the same bowl: Far East lychees and New England cranberries to make a delicious Lychee- Cranberry Sundae. Then, Ming whips up his Ginger Vanilla Custard base, a foolproof custard base that gets its great flavor from fresh ginger and fragrant vanilla beans. With this versatile custard, Ming creates a Ginger Vanilla Creme Brulee. Finally, Ming combines smooth caramel with a hint of floral jasmine tea, to create his Jasmine Caramel Sauce. With it, he creates a light and delicate Toasted Almond Tea Cake.
