America's Byways: Peak to Peak
Series Info & Airtimes

America's Byways: Peak to Peak The Peak to Peak Scenic and Historic Byway skirts the Continental Divide and jagged terrain of the Rockies. A patchwork of Indian trails, mining roads and early auto routes, Peak to Peak celebrates the origins of two of Colorado's defining industries – mining and tourism. Meet Jennie Golden, an ex-slave who became Black Hawk's midwife; Chin Lin Sou, an immigrant who grew rich and became the leader of the Chinese community in Colorado; David Moffat, who conceived the highest rail line in North America; and F.O. Stanley and Enos Mills, who led the effort to create Rocky Mountain National Park.
