TV Program: Globe Trekker: U.S. Civil War Sites

Megan McCormick retraces the sites of many of the most significant battles and events of the Civil War. She begins her journey by examining the origins of the war, exploring the issue of slavery at a plantation house and visiting Harpers Ferry, where John Brown's raid took place. Megan visits Manassas and Antietam, two of the bloodiest battlefields of the war, and participates in a re-enactment at Standardsville. She takes a ghost tour in Gettysburg, visits the battle sites on horseback and overnights in a haunted hotel. Megan travels to the confederate capital of Richmond before ending her journey at Appomattox, where General Lee surrendered.
