Focusing on land, water and air in urban, suburban and rural communities around the United States, "What's Up in the Environment?" is a compelling half-hour newsmagazine for pre-teens that presents a balanced perspective on some of today's most important environmental issues. The program introduces young viewers and their families to innovators whose careers center on finding solutions for the future. Two charismatic teen hosts introduce stories related through the experiences of young scientists, engineers and other professionals, as well as members of the local community who are working on developing and implementing practical solutions for the health of the planet.
