Kamanya hopes one day to become a healer for his people. This program enlivens and personalizes the topic of rainforests and the potential importance of medicinal plants, as well as introduces readers to the issue of rainforest loss. Based on a true story from Mark J. Plotkin's Tales of a Shaman's Apprentice, the children's book was authored and illustrated by Lynn Cherry.
