Life insurance proceeds provide a very simple way to benefit a charitable organization, such as Rocky Mountain PBS. All you need to do is name Rocky Mountain PBS as the beneficiary, in part or whole, of a life insurance policy. In some cases, Rocky Mountain PBS may even pay the premiums on an existing life insurance policy to facilitate these types of gifts.
A
LIFE INSURANCE TRUST is usually set up for the purpose of excluding the proceeds of life insurance from the insured's and the spouse of the insured's estate for death tax purposes. It is an irrevocable trust.
Planned gifts to Rocky Mountain PBS may be designated to go to the
Rocky Mountain PBS General Endowment Fund. Gifts to the General Endowment Fund are permanently invested for the future while the earnings help to provide quality public television programs and services.
