Rocky Mountain PBS welcomes all middle school students (Grades 6, 7 & 8) to participate in StoryMakers, a short story contest for young adults. Entries must be mailed by October 16, 2009.

Finalists will be honored at a culminating event on January 9, 2010 featuring Tom A. Barron, a popular Colorado-based author and speaker. To learn more about the StoryMakers Contest, print the Rules and Entry Form. Teachers and parents may direct questions to storymakers@rmpbs.org or call 303-620-5792.

Winners and finalists will be invited to participate in a one-day "Writing to Publish" workshop to create digital stories from their entries. See examples from the 2008 digital story workshop below and read last year's winning stories here.
