Support the Education Fund
Rocky Mountain PBS has been a champion of education since it began in 1956 as part of the Denver Public Schools. Today Rocky Mountain PBS' education services department provides a host of educational resources from programming to online learning services to free literacy training in Colorado communities. We rely on the generosity of Colorado citizens to bring these services to our communities, particularly as the program offerings grow.Because so many Coloradans recognize our role in providing education, we've received numerous requests for a specific fund just for education. In response, we created The Rocky Mountain PBS Education Fund, an exclusive reserve of contributions from corporations, businesses, foundations and individuals that funds educational programs only.
What the Education Fund Supports
- Ready To Learn, a series of free workshops for parents and caregivers of preschool children, is designed to help adults prepare their children for kindergarten.
- PBS TeacherLine, a PBS initiative partially funded by the U.S. Department of Education, helps teachers boost their educations by offering board-certified online coursework.
- School Memberships (K-12) help schools easily record and use Rocky Mountain PBS educational television programs in the classroom.
