In the early 1980s, KRMJ was the dream of a pioneering group of state and local educators. With community support the dream was realized in the winter of 1996 when KRMJ opened in Grand Junction.
KRMJ serves Western Slope communities from the Roaring Fork Valley to Durango. The advantages of having a full-power public television station were viewed as an investment in the educational and economic future of Western Colorado.
As a community outlet for the regional network of Rocky Mountain PBS, KRMJ provides exceptional programming, educational services, production and videoconferencing services to the Grand Valley community and the Western Slope.
KRMJ is a fully equipped broadcast, production, satellite and teleconference facility with an experienced and professional staff. KRMJ is located in the Tilman Bishop Campus at the Western Colorado Community College, 2520 Blichmann Ave., Grand Junction, CO 81505.
