You can also view our Volunteer Calendar to see our immediate needs right now.

Auction

When: Primary Preparation January – April
Where: KRMA, 1089 Bannock Street, Denver and KTSC, CSU-Pueblo Campus

Auction is a major source of funding for Rocky Mountain PBS, and volunteers are the most important element to make it happen. There is constant preparation underway and always a need for help. Here are some areas:

WAREHOUSE
: Processing all the donations as they come in. This includes taking pictures, data entry and scripting.

eAUCTION
: Scanning images, preparing web images, and other computer-related jobs to get all the donations onto our website!

STUDIO
: These jobs are only during the Auction televised hours, and include answering the phones, setting up the merchandise, keeping track of the bids, and much more!

CATERING
: This most important group of volunteers keeps the troops fed and watered during the Auction.

CLERICAL
: These jobs include calling the high bidders and working in the Pick-Up and Pay area! There are both daytime & evening shifts for these jobs during the Auction week.

HAULERS
: These folks pick up donations, and bring them to the station. This job starts about the same time the Warehouse opens, and runs through the end of Auction.

MARKETING
: Help get the word out about Auction and find new donor leads! The more people, bidders and donors, who participate in Auction, the more money we can raise for Rocky Mountain PBS programming!

PHONE BANK
: This is a great way for an organization to volunteer as a group. We need 12-15 volunteers to fill our phone bank and enter bids in computers from viewers during the live Auction.

OTHER
: Maybe you have a specialized skill from which Auction could benefit that doesn't fall into the above categories! We are always on the lookout for these volunteers! (Photographer, Graphic Artist, Computer Programmer, Network Engineer, etc.)
