Living Trusts

If, like many others, you have chosen to rely on a revocable living trust to pass your property on to loved ones while minimizing probate costs, you might add a charitable dimension to this plan as well. Similar to a charitable bequest through a will, such a gift is deductible from estate taxes and can be delayed until all family members have been provided for.
After a successful management career, Dick enjoyed his retirement years with frequent visits to friends around the world. Dick also found time for active involvement in a number of charitable pursuits close to home, including the Rocky Mountain PBS Cornerstone Society. His love of Denver and its citizens was evident in his will, where he provided for the institutions that he felt impacted his own life and would continue to improve the quality of life for succeeding generations. Dick's will directed that 20% of the residue of his estate be used to support Rocky Mountain PBS television programs, specifically those that reflect his personal interest in world history, European and American art, current financial data, world trends, and gardening.
