Indian Peaks Wilderness area is 76,586 acres primarily within the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests. Many of the mountain peaks are named after western Native American tribes.

Roosevelt National Forest was named for President Theodore Roosevelt in 1932, and has also been known as Medicine Bow Forest Reserve and Colorado National Forest.

Established in 1918, the Peak to Peak is one of the oldest scenic byways in Colorado.

Chin Lin Sou is honored with a stained-glass window at the Colorado State Capitol for his leadership of Colorado’s Chinese immigrants and contributions to the local community.

The Central City Opera House, still in use today, seats up to 525 people. Elaborate trompe l'oeil murals by John Massman and a chandelier featuring 100 kerosene lamps decorate the interior.
