Critical Boomer/Senior Issues

Posted by RMPBS on

“Life Wise” is back.

The Rocky Mountain PBS original series returns this week with a one-hour special focusing on boomer/senior issues.
Host Cynthia Hessin brings together groups of experts to discuss everything from financial security and housing alternatives to health and fitness.

In the next 20 years, there will be over 70 million people in the U.S. over the age of 65. And in Colorado, nearly a third of metro Denver's residents are boomers - much higher than the national average of 26.8 percent. Some non-urban Colorado counties have even higher concentrations of boomers.

The senior demographic is a huge and diverse group, with a range of critical needs and costs.

But this group also wields a perhaps unprecedented amount of power, in terms of the sheer size and the members’ motivation to impact both policy and the communities they live in.

Don’t miss a chance to learn more about this remarkable generation – and what the future holds.
