Local Story: Baroque Chamber Orchestra

Arts District host Carrie Saldo explores Baroque Chamber Music of Colorado, bringing to Colorado audiences the musical riches and spirit of improvisation of the 17th and 18th centuries.

Originating in France during the Baroque period, Baroque music incorporates improvisation on the part of the musicians.

"The way that the violin functions in a Baroque ensemble is more like being the lead guitarist in a band," says Concertmaster Cynthia Miller Freivogel. Get to know Cynthia and other members of the ensemble through our local story and let us know what you think in the comments below!
