Local Story: Opera Colorado

The conflict between intellect and emotion is at the heart of Nathaniel Hawthorne’s novel The Scarlet Letter, which has been adapted by Opera Colorado for its stage. We followed the early steps of the project as Opera Colorado’s pre-professional Young Artists took up the challenges of re-telling this iconic 18th century tale. Among the things we discussed; the many parallels to the conflicts of right and wrong played out in modern times.
