Jan Martin, a Colorado Springs native, was term limited in April 2015 after serving two terms on City Council. She was first elected in April 2007 and re-elected in April 2011. She completed her time in office in April 2015. Jan was voted Best Local Politician or runner up seven times and the Best Local Politician on Business Issues five times.

As well as serving the city of Colorado Springs, Jan is the Owner of Martin Business Group, which specializes in information systems and business training for local organizations.

Jan holds a bachelor’s degree in education from the University of Northern Colorado and a MBA in finance and information systems from Regis University.

In her spare time, Jan enjoys golfing and other outdoor activities.
