Adam Lipsius is an Author and a feature film Director, Producer and Screenwriter. "16-LOVE," a movie he produced and directed, was distributed in 2012 by Warner Bros. Digital, Gravitas Ventures, and Entertainment One. It was a day-and-date Video On Demand hit in the US, racking up over 18 months on iTunes' best-seller lists en route to becoming WB Digital's #1 acquisition of 2012. His screenplay "Oceans Rising" was acquired by the Asylum Studios in 2016, and he directed the film for SyFy Channel in January, 2017. This is Adam's second script for the Asylum, which commissioned him to write "Asteroid vs. Earth," a feature film shot in November, 2013 and released in April, 2014. Additionally, he is completing post-production as director and producer on "Amy & Sophia," a fantasy/drama about two young women coming to terms with their tragic pasts through imagination and friendship. Shot in Cardiff and London in 2016, the movie stars Sir Julian Glover, Denise Van Outen, Isla Blair and Joseph Millson and will be released in 2017.
"Star Raiders: the Adventures of Saber Raine," a feature he produced in Colorado was released nationwide in March, 2017 by Gravitas Ventures and has sold the UK, Germany and China. Starring Casper Van Dien ("Starship Troopers"), Adam co-stars in the role of Admiral Steele. His new kids mystery novel, "Knox Chase on the Case," is represented by agent Alex Slater at Trident Media Group and is in development as a feature film in association with Sean Covel (the producer of "Napoleon Dynamite") with Mary Jo Slater ("The Contender," "Dumb and Dumber") casting. His "Making of 16-LOVE" half-hour behind-the-scenes featurette ran extensively on Tennis Channel, and his documentary about family businesses in Colorado, "Generations," premiered on Rocky Mountain PBS on January 8th, 2012.
Adam is an alumnus of Dartmouth College, where he wrote his first book, "The Birth of Dr. Seuss," as a critical biography of the children's author for his thesis. He received a Masters in Production from USC Graduate School of Cinema-Television, where 3 of his short films played festivals around the world. A member of the Producers Guild of America, he's received numerous awards for his commercials and movies and lives in Denver, CO with his wife and kids.
